Three Individuals Making an Impact Recognized at ProMat 2017

Three individuals were honored for their contributions to the material handling and supply chain industry during MHI’s Industry Night at ProMat 2017: Peter Saladis, Tyler Schmakel and AriAnne Sproat.
MHI’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) awarded separate honors recognizing both an industry veteran who generously advances the development of others and a rising professional under the age of 40 making a mark in the field. Receiving the 2017 MHI YPN Mentor Award was Peter Saladis, assembly operations manager at The Raymond Corporation. The 2017 MHI YPN Outstanding Young Professional Award was given to Tyler Schmakel, director of production at Rasco Industries.

Also awarded during the evening, MHI’s #IWorkInTheSupplyChain campaign named its 2017 Face of the Supply Chain. This year’s winner was AriAnne Sproat, chief operating officer (COO) at ITC Manufacturing.

Competition for all three awards was intense, agreed MHI’s Brian Reaves, executive vice president, and Morgan Cruz, MHI marketing content coordinator. Reaves served as one of several industry volunteers who evaluated the candidate applications for the two YPN awards; Cruz was part of the committee judging the Face of the Supply Chain submissions, posted online at iworkinthesupplychain.com.

Here are the inspiring stories of the three award winners.
