After his leadership at Cattron, Jim continued his passion and work in the supply chain as a consultant for several international businesses and private equity investment firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was a passionate leader in the material handling industry and served on the board of directors of MHI and served as Chairman of the Board in 1991. In addition, Jim was a board member of the Material Handling Education Foundation (MHEFI) and a proud member and contributor to the Electrical Controls Manufacturers Association (EMCA) and the Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Jim\u2019s uncommon passion, energy and enthusiasm for our industry set a very high bar for all who follow. We will all benefit by following his strong belief in building and nurturing networks and friendships as a cornerstone for success on many levels,&#8221; commented John Nofsinger former CEO of MHI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Jim\u2019s personal commitment made a lasting impact on all of the groups that he served as a volunteer,&#8221; added John Paxton CEO of MHI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Robertson was born January 3, 1942, in Johnstown, PA. He was a 1959 graduate of Mohawk Area High School in New Castle, he also attended the New Castle Business School, the College of the Sequoias, Visalia, CA, and Youngstown State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A proud veteran, Jim served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1961-1965. An outdoorsman, he loved spending his time outdoors hunting, especially at the family camp in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania. Jim also loved traveling internationally and playing golf with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memorial contributions may be directed to the Robertson Family Charitable Fund, C\/O Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH, 7 W.
