E<\/span>very year, Student Day offers the future leaders of the supply chain industry an opportunity to explore careers, see the latest technology and connect with industry professionals. It\u2019s more than just a field trip\u2014it\u2019s an opportunity for students and educators to see real\u2011world supply chain solutions in action, ask questions and find inspiration for their future. The success of Student Day relies heavily on the participation of volunteers\u2014industry professionals who serve as tour guides and exhibitors who open their booths as tour stops.<\/p>\n

Volunteering for Student Day isn\u2019t just a way to give back\u2014it\u2019s an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the next generation of supply chain professionals. Whether you\u2019re sharing your own career journey, introducing them to cutting\u2011edge technologies or simply answering questions, the connections made during Student Day can inspire students to pursue a career in the supply chain industry.<\/p>\n

Student Day will occur on March 19, 2025, at ProMat in Chicago, IL. It will be attended by colleges, universities, trade schools, technical schools, specialty schools and high school students, both national and international. In 2024, we had over 350 students and faculty from over 40 schools, over 75 booth stops for students to visit and industry volunteers to lead show floor tours.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s why volunteering is so important\u2014and how you can get involved.<\/p>\n

1. Be a Student Day Tour Guide: Inspire the Next Generation<\/h4>\n

Imagine a student choosing a career\u2014curious about material handling, logistics, transportation and warehousing. Now, imagine the impact you can have on that student\u2019s future. As a tour guide, you become that professional, offering insights, sharing experiences and answering questions only an industry insider can.<\/p>\n

Being a Student Day tour guide is more than leading students through the show floor\u2014it\u2019s about opening their eyes to the supply chain world. You\u2019ll explain how products move through the supply chain, why the work you do matters and how they can be a part of it.<\/p>\n

Volunteering as a guide also benefits you. You\u2019ll connect with future talent and gain satisfaction knowing you played a role in shaping the industry\u2019s future. Plus, it\u2019s a great way to hone your communication and leadership skills.<\/p>\n

2. Host a Tour Stop: Showcase Your Innovation to Future Leaders<\/h4>\n

As a ProMat 2025 exhibitor, you already have a platform to showcase your products and services to customers\u2014but Student Day offers you a unique chance to engage with future leaders. Student Day tours make key stops at exhibitor booths, allowing students to see cutting\u2011edge innovations up close and in action. By volunteering your booth as a tour stop, you become an educator for these future professionals.<\/p>\n

These students could become tomorrow\u2019s problem\u2011solvers, decision\u2011makers and even your future intern or next hire. By giving them a behind\u2011the\u2011scenes look at your company, you\u2019re building brand awareness and influencing the next generation of talent.<\/p>\n
