Founded in 1945 in the wake of World War II, the association has grown into a global leader in supply chain innovation, with more than 1,000 member companies shaping the equipment, systems and technologies that keep supply chains moving.<\/p>\n

From its earliest days, MHI has been at the forefront of industrial innovation. As the postwar economy rapidly scaled, material handling pioneers united under MHI to bring order, standards and transformation to an emerging field. Over the decades, the association championed game\u2011changing technologies such as forklifts, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS\/RS), automatic identification and robotics\u2014advancements that have revolutionized how goods are handled, stored and delivered.<\/p>\n

Through every economic shift, from globalization to e\u2011commerce booms and pandemic disruptions, MHI has served as a steadfast partner to its members and the broader supply chain industry.
