We are excited to continue to roll out a variety of new initiatives, products and services developed by MHI and WERC. Among all the new developments is the new chair of the WERC Advisory Committee, Jason Minghini.

The pandemic has shed light on the importance of cutting-edge technologies and products among members of MHI’s Loading Dock Equipment Manufacturers. LODEM members are aiding warehouse managers, grocers and other customers with a number of innovations, from IIoT technology to optimize operation.

The outbreak of the COVID pandemic has created chaos over the past two years. But some of the after-effects continue to linger for the economy. Looking to the months ahead, addressing these lingering risks will be critical for the U.S. economy—and the outlook for material handling.

The MHI community entered the new year mourning the death of Jim Galante, a leading expert in ergonomics whose distinguished career in the material-handling industry spanned more than five decades. Galante, 76, died unexpectedly at his home in Falmouth, Maine, on Dec. 22.
