The 8th Annual Innovation Awards recognize MODEX exhibitor products contributing to the advancement of our industry across three categories: Best New Innovation, Best Innovation of an Existing Product and Best IT Innovation.

MHI’s Innovation Awards program has seen an increasing number of submissions each of the past eight years since its introduction. The April edition at MODEX 2020 was no exception. Exhibitors continue to push the envelope and raise the bar, unveiling innovative solutions that both disrupt and redefine how supply chains function while increasing value for operations large and small.
Prior to the show, exhibitors were invited to submit entries for consideration in the MHI Innovation awards across three different categories: Best New Innovation, Best Innovation of an Existing Product and Best IT Innovation. MHI received 155 total submissions across the three groupings. To narrow down each category to four finalists prior to the show, a committee of five volunteer judges toured their MODEX exhibits and evaluated the submissions based on their concept, value, and impact.
This year’s evaluators included representatives from 3M, Ace Hardware Corp., Groupe Deschenes, Kitchen Cabinet Distributors, and Purolator. On Monday at MODEX, finalists’ exhibits were visited in person by six judges who selected the winners based on their ability to deliver quantifiable and sustainable return on investment (ROI), cost savings and customer satisfaction.
Awards were presented to the winning products and technologies on Wednesday during MHI Industry Night with Colin Jost. That ensured attendees had ample time to visit the 12 finalists’ exhibits and see their submissions in action during the first three days of the show.
